Design inspiration for the Dr. Yen-Son (Paul) Huang Courtyard
The courtyard is designed with the intent to exemplify concepts valued by Dr. Yen-Son (Paul) Huang and to provide an aesthetic outdoor environment that can be enjoyed by students, faculty, and visitors alike. The amphitheater shaped as a circle symbolizes perfection and continuity. It is also the image of a silicon wafer, whose development is supported by the industry Dr. Yen-Son (Paul) Huang helped found. Every step of the amphitheater showcases the seven criteria for winning: “Tao (Mission), Trends, Terrain, Leaders, Methodology, Inclusion, and Path to Success” and serves to inspire students of National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University to move forward steadily, climb to the top, and achieve an aspirational life.
